Hi! Welcome to my second ever blog!

Not a whole lot has happened since I last posted, but I did take part in Motif #1 Day in Rockport, Mass, Saturday May 18 and an author fair at Beverly Public Library Sunday May 19. In total, I sold 11 books, which actually isn’t too bad for a combined six hours. The fun thing about author fairs is that, even if hardly anyone comes to check us out, we all buy each other’s books anyway. I bought a picture book for my great-niece and a mystery/thriller for myself. Like I really need more books.

I have an idea I’m working on for a new book. (Has it really already been over three years since Proof or Consequences! came out? Wow.) I joined a writers’ group over the winter, and that is helping me with writing discipline. I would be embarrassed if I didn’t have something to contribute to our meetings. So far I’ve subjected the group to only the book’s intro—which I am going to drastically revise—but they will read and critique each chapter as it comes along. Right now I will say only that it has to do with animals. And you know me (or maybe you don’t!), anything I write will be with a sense of humor. Our fearless leader also gives us assignments, so I have to pretend I’m back in school again.

I am still clipping funny headlines and sentences out of the newspaper. Some habits are hard to break. I probably won’t do a Proof or Consequences: the Sequel, but I do occasionally post them on Facebook—which I got disconnected from when I cleaned my computer’s cache? history? Whatever, FB has some convoluted way for me to get it back. I will be contacting my IT guy to get it all going again. My efforts just went around in circles.

That’s it for this go-‘round! I hope to report in at the end of June, but hey, if anything exciting pops up, I just could show up before that!

Happy rest of spring!
Sue
